Privacy Policy

At signup: when you log in with your mobile number, we collect the number itself, and — for a first-time signup — the name, city, email address, and demat broker you provide to complete registration.

Automatically: basic usage and device data (pages viewed, browser, approximate location from IP) via Google Analytics, and a session cookie that keeps you logged in. See our Cookie Policy for details.

What we don't collect: we never ask for your demat account credentials, trading passwords, PAN, Aadhaar, or bank details. The “broker” field is only the name of your broker (e.g. Zerodha, Upstox) — not your account number or any login information.

• to create and secure your account, and to send the WhatsApp one-time password (OTP) used to log you in,
• to personalise the Service and remember your preferences,
• to send service-related communication (e.g. billing, security alerts) and, where you've opted in, product updates,
• to understand aggregate usage and improve the Service, and
• to detect abuse, fraud, and security issues.

We do not use your data to train third-party AI models, and we do not sell your personal data.

We share the minimum data necessary with a small number of service providers:

• AiSensy (a WhatsApp Business Solution Provider) — receives your mobile number to deliver the login OTP message over WhatsApp.
• Google Analytics — receives anonymised/aggregated usage data to help us understand how the Service is used.
• Hosting & infrastructure providers — store data on our behalf under confidentiality obligations.

We may also disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of StockPing, our users, or the public. We do not sell personal data to advertisers or data brokers.

Your account data is stored on servers we control, protected by access controls and encryption in transit (HTTPS). Login OTPs are never stored in plain text — only a cryptographically hashed, single-use, time-limited version is kept to verify your code, and it is discarded once used or expired. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data.

We retain account data for as long as your account is active. If you ask us to delete your account, we will delete or anonymise your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we must retain records to comply with legal, tax, or accounting obligations.

Subject to applicable law (including India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023), you can:

• access the personal data we hold about you,
• correct inaccurate details (e.g. name, city, email, broker),
• request deletion of your account and associated data, and
• withdraw consent for non-essential communication at any time.

To exercise any of these, write to admin@stockping.in. We may need to verify your identity (via your registered mobile number) before actioning a request.

The Service is not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

In accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and rules made thereunder, grievances or complaints about the processing of your personal data can be sent to our Grievance Officer at admin@stockping.in. We aim to acknowledge complaints within a reasonable timeframe and resolve them promptly.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above.
